If you are using Gmail, you have the option of having Google store and index the emails you send from Manager, so all your sent emails will be searchable and backed-up on Google’s servers.
Step 1: Allow Access to Google Account
Before using Gmail SMTP, you need to authorize Manager to access your Google account.
Go to https://accounts.google.com/DisplayUnlockCaptcha, log into your Gmail account, then click Continue.
Step 2: Allow “Less Secure Apps”
If you are using 2-step verification, skip this step and move to Step 3
Go to https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps and ensure
Allow less secure app switch is ON
Step 3: Generate app password if 2-Step verification is enabled
If you are not using 2-step verification, skip this step and move to Step 4 .
Go to https://security.google.com/settings/security/apppasswords and select
Other/Custom name from
Give it a name such as
Manager App and then click Generate.
Note down the application password as it will be required in the next step.
Step 4: Configure email settings in Manager
Enter the Gmail details under
Settings tab, then
Email addressto your Gmail email address
smtp.gmail.comand port to
Usernameto your Gmail email address.
Passwordto your Gmail password (or app password if 2-Step Verification is enabled)
