Please @lubos this technical issue you can solve it! on Manager Desktop
When you examine it closely, the version appears to be the same; however, when viewed through a browser, it appears significantly sharper and clearer for reading.
Base on my knowledge it’s related to the WebView that run Application from Desktop Program.
It’s Microsoft Edge WebView2 so this is a Microsoft program and not Manager’s. I think it’s most probably an installed font types thing so you should check them. Search the forum for the font types Manager is using. You can of course always use the web browser if you like it better.
The issue described by Diyar has raised its ugly head again. I have tried all the suggestions without success. The initial opening of Manager has suddenly gone blurry. If you open a second version in another browser it is clear and sharp. This is happening for both a PC with a large screen and my laptop. Both are Dell running Windows 11. I was also speaking to someone else who has the same problem. I have upgraded all drivers possible. On my PC I removed Helvetica Font so it will default to Helvetica Neue. That made no difference. Changing the screen scaling does not improve the sharpness. At 100% the text is too tiny so I run it at 150%. As far I can determine the window is not being rendered corectly - but ONLY for Manager. Everything else is sharp. I understand that WebView2 controls the quality of the dispaly when Manager first opens. I really would appreciate any new suggestions. What settings in WebView2 need changing? How does one do that? Thank you.
Thanks for that. Did not fix the problem. The UTube tutorial is no longer available. I am no programmer but it seems as if the issue lies in the way Manager, and only Manager, interacts with Windows/WebView2. For some reason the screen is not being rendered correctly with WebView2 but is perfect with Google Chrome. This is a multple computer problem. I wonder if the programmers could embed some way of not using/relying on WebView2?
Microsoft Edge WebView2 control allows the embedding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) in native apps such as Manager and is thus an essential part of Windows users that use Edge as browser. The WebView2 control uses Microsoft Edge as the rendering engine to display the web content in native apps.
As many discussion on this forum points out, the issue is with not having installed the right fonts to render Manager in Webview2 properly and thus needs for those having that issue to delete wrong fonts and install the right ones (mostly users with default languages very different from English such as Greek and Arabic).
This problem happens on multiple computers. It was working well until very recently.
It would be unusual for the font file to be changed automatically on two computers
On my Dell PC I deleted the Helvetica Neue font, downloaded a new one from the internet and reinstalled it. It made no difference at all.
I notice you mention people who use Edge as a browser. I do not – I use Google Chrome. But I did try to change the default font from Times new Roman to Helvetica Neue but that made no noticeable difference.
Until someone comes up with a solution I will have to open Manager/Right click on Businesses/ Open Link in new window (Google Chrome).
Edge is installed on Windows computers. Even if you also installed Chrome it will default to Edge with webview2 when using Desktop. If you right click on any functional tab and open nieuw window, it may open Edge browser. If it opens Chrome check if font-issue still there in the Chrome browser. If so then you can try solutions such as given at:
Manager Desktop by default uses webview2. Opening a tab with right click uses whatever you have set to default browser in your system, not necessarily edge. Webview2 is not edge, it is based on edge see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/concepts/browser-features
To the chagrin of a few here I have installed and use the server version on one of my computers as it allows me to use edge instead of the system default I have set of Firefox, or webview2. I did try using chrome but found it caused various issues over time.
