Manager font is blurry again after upgrading

I just downloaded the latest version of Manager and installed it and the display went back to the font blurry issue again. I had this issue previously and was able to fix it with a font edit. I’m running a 4K monitor with Windows 10 Pro and English. I searched the forum for the word “blurry” and only saw the previous topic from 2022 and that isn’t fixing it anymore. It had been working fine for about the last year, I was just in Manager right before I installed the latest version, I closed it and installed the latest version and issue came back. Only thing I can think of is maybe since I fixed it last time now that’s a problem for the installer?? Need help on this bad, this is crushing.

Here is the answer to a similar question from 20 days ago.

I have the same problem in Windows 11 Pro. It only startred afterupgrading to 24.8.24.1817. I had not upgraded for while. The fomnt is now blurred and very tiring to read.

See:

Thanks. My Windows 11 has Helvecia but not Helvicia Neue.

Then you need to install it. It is not really a Manager but a Windows problem. Search the internet on how you can add fonts (manage fonts) to Windows 11.

Installing the font made no difference to Manager. This only happened today after upgrading Manager. Everything else is sharp and clear. This is the same problem some years ago. Any ideas?

You need to install the right font and also take note at the last post in that discussion:

@Tsesebe & @phelpsit

Maybe you need to try it,

Open Personalization, then select the default windows themes.
Open the display Setting and select 100% screen resolution.

Then goto Device Manager and Uninstall Display driver and Restart your Computer.

I have experienced blur on several applications, and it was resolved in this way.

Hope you are lucky

Thankyou but that did not fix the problem. It is only Manager that is blurry. All other apps are clear. Some years ago I managed to delete the Helvitica font and that fixed the problem. I have now tried to delete the Helvitica font again but it is not possible in Windows 11. It has arrived with the Windows system?

Did you do the following?

1. Open the Fonts Settings

  1. Right-click on the Start button and select Settings.
  2. In the Settings window, go to Personalization.
  3. Click on Fonts on the left sidebar. This will open the Fonts management window.

2. Find and Delete Helvetica Fonts

  1. In the Fonts section, you can scroll through the list or use the search bar at the top to search for “Helvetica.”
  2. Click on the Helvetica font you want to delete to open its details.
  3. At the top-right corner, there should be a Delete button. Click it to remove the font.

Thanks but pressing the “Uninstall” button in bulk or for each individual Helvetica Font is ignored.
There is no delete button.
I have found the files in File Explorer and they will not delete either.
No messages explain why.
Very frustrating

Are you logged in with as an user with administration rights?

Does this help
Cannot delete Font files in Windows 11/10 [Fixed] (thewindowsclub.com)

This somewhat fixed the problem for me, however it made everything else in Windows fairly small. I’m going to try to adjust it up to 150 and see how it looks and report back.

Further complexity about this blurry issue.
When I fist open manager everything is blurry - very tiring.
Interestingly, if I right click on Businesses and open a link in a new window/tab/incognito window the fonts are perfect. Can someone shed light on why the first window is blurry and the second window is clear. Thank you.

@Tsesebe The reason for that is the second tab opens in your web browser.
The first does not open in your web browser.

Fair enough. But where does the first tab open?

In the Manager program itself.
But Manager gets a lot of it’s settings from your browser.

Again, fair enough but how do I get Manager to use the correct font settings when I open it the first time. Clearly the web browser has the correct settings and applies them when it is opened the second time in the browser.
