I am having an issue with with the receipts and payments summary report. My issue has only just started. I was using using 20.10.94 desktop. My summary report is only showing accounts receivable and all my period payments. It does not show any non invoiced cash receipts for any category of receipts. I thought it must be my error so I checked that I had used the income and not expense category. That did not fix my issue. I looked at my prior period report and it shows the non invoiced cash receipts. I tried cloning previous receipts with the same result. I have upgraded to latest version and same result. Is this me? How can this go wrong from one week to another. I have made no changes to any settings.Your help appreciated.
Further to this. I changed the income categories and they then show in the report. I change back to the original categories and they do not show. So then I changed the receipt dates from 11/2 (the problem date) to 19/2 and then do a report and the cash receipts show. I change dates back to 11/2 and the receipts don’t show. It’s not my categories. Any ideas? This appears to be a date recognition issue.
What do you mean by “income categories” - there is no such terminology in Manager?
Show some edit screens of the transactions that do not appear and the edit screen for the report, please?
You do realise that you are hundreds of versions behind - so an update might be a good place to start
Sorry if I have used the wrong terminology. I have already updated to 21.2.50 version and it is still an issue. The income categories I refer to is the account where I allocate the funds on the receipt.
this was from 1/2/21 to 4/2 P&R summary. All good
this was from 5/2 to 11/2 showing no cash accounts other than accounts receivable
this from 12/2 to 18/2 that shows all income accounts like the first one
the cash receipts for 5/2 to 11/2 are exactly the same as the others but don’t show
You haven’t shown the screen images I asked for.
In particular, have you un-checked the optional Exclude zero balances feature
Also, you could have the 3 periods on the one report like this
it hasn’t picked up the cash receipts for 11/2 - the top and bottom lines.
You need to show screen images of the edit screen of the transactions that are not showing up and the edit screen of your report
I don’t doubt that you have correctly entered the dates but I’m genetically doubtful of everything
If the missing receipts are payments for an invoice, then they will posted to the accounts receivables. The posting to the income account was made when you entered the invoice.
This report only shows the cash transactions so the invoices will not be included except as receipts under accounts receivable.
If you want an analysis of your income, you need to use the Profit & Loss report not the Receipts & Payments Summary
the receipt on 4/2 that shows
the receipt on 11/2 that does not show
and 18/2 that does show
all in the correct cash account. These have not been invoiced so aren;t in the acct receivables
I only have your word that the receipt dated 11/2 does not show - can you please show a screen image of the whole transaction - black out any bits that may be confidential if you are worried about confidentiality
The payments show in the P&L but I do utilise the Cash Receipts and Payments summary and need that to be accurate too
Looks OK, can you post a screen image of one of the receipts that do show up, thanks
For what its worth, 11/2 was a clone of 4/2 with the date changed. 18/2 was a clone of 11/2 with the date changed. Same customer. This is what make me think it is date related. However I did indicate previously that I updated the receipt and posted the payment to another account category and it showed in the summary. When I changed it back it did not appear in the summary
That’s strange - if you drill down on the zero figure for the 11/2 in the report does anything show up?
Presumably drilling down on the 4/2 and 18/2 show the correct receipts
You haven’t shown the whole of the line - there isn’t a tax code involved which is messing up the information?
No tax. Not for profit org. When I drill into the account zero figure the receipt is there for 11/2
