This is extremely unlikely to be caused by the software update, although I never used that particular version. (I bypassed it.) Try updating again to see if the problem persists.
It is much more likely that you changed something else, installed an application that is running in the background, etc.
Can you be more specific? Is the program opening too slowly? Or is it too slow when clicking around? What if you create an empty business without any data, is it still slow?
Greetings!
I’ve been using the Desktop version of Manager on Linux Mint 18.2 since the first of this year and have sincerely loved the program. Everything has been working perfectly until I updated from 18.1.?? to the current 18.4.?? level. I’m currently sitting at 18.4.36 but only got here because of the freezing problem I was having and I was hoping that simply upgrading would have fixed the issue, but it hasn’t.
You see every time I press the “backup” button I get a proper backup in the folder I’ve always used but when I go back to try to use Manager again it’s completely frozen and all I can do is exit the program and restart where everything is just fine again.
If there are more users experiencing the same issue on Linux Mint 18.2, then it could be reproduced and probably fixed but if you are the only one, it must be something specific to your machine. If you have different computer with Linux Mint, try Manager on it too and see if you get the same problem.
I understand, however I just performed a clean install of Linux Mint 18.3, installed Manager (18.4.36), restored latest backup and I’m still experiencing the same problem. Not sure what to do at this point.
Also, forgot to mention that the program freezes after creating a PDF of a sales invoice. I can only exit the program, no other functionality possible. Can I send you a copy of my backup? I’d be happy to pay for your assistance. Thank you. Steve
Well now isn’t this interesting…
When I shut down last night I did not perform a backup. Came in this morning, saw your question and attempted a PDF of a Balance Sheet. Everything was perfect!! Not only that but I tried a PDF of a sales invoice and that worked to! Then I got brave and attempted a backup and even that worked perfectly!! So I don’t know what’s going on but the computer gods are smiling upon me today. None of this makes any sense to me, I’m just happy to have this wonderful program working again. Apparently this was a false alarm, sorry for the bother.
