We notice some changes in the modules and we would like to know if these can still be changed as last time it how to adapt with these changes.
We can’t view more than 1000 records in one window. We sometimes need to copy (copy to clipboard) transactions from the start. Is there any other way to copy data of 1001th transactions onwards.
See here that the the 2148 record is disabled, we can only show up to 1000 records.
The copy to clipboard function is not working properly now when we paste in excel.
Example: This is what the module looks like and its extraction.
As I mentioned, all these are changes vs last week.
Our current Manager IO (MIO) version is 22.10.17.437. I’m using Windows 10. Unfortunately, before this one, we don’t know the last version of cloud Manager IO (MIO). (If there is a version history I can view and check please let me know)
Since we are using the cloud version, we are not expecting any hardware/software changes to affect the MIO. Personally, though, I haven’t made any changes to my service laptop since last week. Are there software and hardware changes we need to watch out for that may affect cloud MIO?
To clearly point out the changes once again per issue:
Before we could view more than 1000 transactions, but now, the button for records higher than 1000 is disabled.
Before, using copy to clipboard function works fine. Empty columns were shown as empty, but now, it moves data to the leftmost empty column. The data is now distorted when copied to excel.
I reattached the module and extraction here. See the color coded boxes, data and how it is shown in excel now.
Example: See the red boxes. In MIO, the cash amount column should be empty. However, in excel, the copy to clipboard function moved the data in check bank/branch/acct. no. to cash amount column in excel.
The copy to clipboard function moves the data to the leftmost empty column. which is not the case before.
For remarks that use enter key. It automatically forwards the next line of remarks to next column. An example is an image below where the remark is forwarded to 6 columns instead of just one.
I am not on cloud version but I would expect this all to be linked to hardware limitations (RAM) to hold lots of data in memory cache. The introduction of the 50, 100, etc tabs on the bottom of the screen was probably introduced to limit the effects of needing to load huge amounts of data into memory.
Furthermore, the recent problems with batch actions suffer from similar limitations and I think the silence from @Lubos may indicate massive development work going on in the backend which first gets live tested in the Cloud version.
Recently @Lubos mentioned a possible return to exporting files that can be imported in a spreadsheet and that may also affect how batch operations work. I would hope for an additional feature that would allow filtering by date and/or more data items that would limit the number of record for batch operations and thus keeps the process as easy as it is now. Also the use of UUID / Keys was commented on quite some time ago to use for example customer or supplier names rather than UUIDs in some operations.
All this requires a major overhaul and rethink of how to interface with Sqlite the underlying database and limit the resource use of the application so it keeps being nimble as those of us that now have large records and they keep growing over the years would at one point face the limits or unacceptable slowness of working with Manager.
This is all guesswork on my behalf but I am confident that @Lubos at some point will tell us that a whole range of interdependent bugs and issues will be fixed or resolved in due course.
We are also guessing the same thing. There might be issues in loading large data and batch operation. We are just a year-old user so our data is still smaller compared to others. But we could imagine how big the data of much older users.
Thus, we understand that changes need to be done. Though, we will also love to hear suggestions on how to work around these issues while waiting for the solution.
Thanks for the reply. At least, we are now aware that some are also experiencing issues that may be caused by the major overhaul in MIO.
I had no problems just now viewing more than 1,000 customers and doing a batch update involving copying the data to a spreadsheet. So, I did a quick check on the receipts tab where you are having issues, and checked a few other tabs as well. I noticed the following:
In the tabs for Receipts and Payments, there are options to view 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, or all the records, but the option for all records is greyed out.
In the tabs for Customers, Sales Orders, Sales Invoices, and Inventory Items (which are all the other tabs for which I have more than 1,000 entries), there are options to view 50, 100, 250, 1000, or all the records, and all are usable. There is no option to view 500 records.
This makes me think it is a UI bug and not a memory limit.
As for the copying and pasting data, I can confirm that if I copy my receipts and paste into a text editor, columns with no data are omitted, so everything to the right moves over to fill the empty columns. This seems like a bug to me.
The developer has previously commented on the forum that changes were in work that would affect large numbers of records. Nevertheless, I am going to classify this inconsistent behavior as a bug for now.
I can confirm that this is a deliberate change and not an actual bug. Just as @Tut already explained.
I also agree with @Tut categorizing this in a category that needs action, but I think it should be a new idea.
I assume that everybody here should agree that viewing 1000+ transactions at once isn’t a good idea. However, the user should be able to select all to as well as for .
I think if we have these abilities back, this should count as an overall improvement rather than a limitation.

Glad this is now classified as a bug, knowing this is acknowledged and needing resolution.
We’ll be waiting for that.
I agree with @Ealfardan, we don’t need to view 1000+ transactions in one sitting, however, an option to extract all data to excel (where detailed analysis is usually done) is really necessary. So if suggestions are considered here, an export button with filters (from/to date and other important fields etc) will be great.
Also, if you guys have a workaround for these, we’ll appreciate suggestions too. Thanks!
OK. It seems strange to me that I should be able to view 4,243 sales invoices at once, but am prevented from viewing more than 1,000 receipts or payments. But I guess if it’s work in progress then eventually we’ll see it resolved to be consistent one way or another.
Yes. I don’t need to view them all at once, but I might need to update them all.
I don’t have better solution at the moment, so in the latest version (22.10.31) it is possible to click on the total number of rows and get all of them in single view.
