Using Managerserver.exe

For some time I have been using Managerserver.exe to allow me to run Manager in Edge.
I run the program then open http://127.0.0.1:8080/login in Edge. This allowed me to resize screens to suit my monitor, cutting down on sideways scrolling.
I have finally made the decision to upgrade from 21.2.51 to 21.4.67 and I find that Managerserver.exe does not appear to work any more.
Is it now broken or do I have to change the way I’ve been doing this for so long?

perhaps you need to upgrade Webview 2. You can download it from Microsoft directly. Otherwise not sure what the cause could be.

Manager installed Webview2 90.0.818.51.
I restarted the computer after Manager installed.
There is a quick flash of a cmd screen, but not like before (this morning) where it stayed open and you could see it was listening.
Webview2 shows as installed in “Programs and Features”

Hi,

if i use manager desktop version and want use in browser, then addrress is http://127.0.0.1:55667/businesses

port number 55667, not 8080

V. 21.4.68 64bit win

The server edition uses port 8080.

My mistake. Of course!

Can anyone confirm if this method still works?
If I roll back to 21.2.51 it works again on my Win10 64bit.
Maybe @lubos has done something to it between versions either intentionally or unintentionally?

When desktop edition is running, why not open http://localhost:55667 like it was suggested by @raivodc100 ?

Because I was using the program (tab) (http://127.0.0.1) as an app in Edge as it allowed for custom sizing etc. and only involved two clicks on the taskbar to launch.
Edge is not my default browser.
It used to work! It appears to be another instance of removing functionality

edit.
And it appears to resolve the blank screen issue after taking focus away from Manager after installing webview2.

If you want to launch ManagerServer.exe, then download server edition. That is supported to work and always has been.

Latest version is here:

https://github.com/Manager-io/Manager.zip/releases/latest/download/ManagerServer-Windows-x64.zip

Desktop edition binaries are designed to support ManagerDesktop.exe
Server edition binaries are designed to support ManagerServer.exe

Yes, that works. Thanks @lubos
It would still be good if the Managerserver file in the desktop download worked, meaning only one download and allowing me to switch between them as required.
