Update/upgrade manager

Hello dear Managers,

I’m trying to open a copy of manager files sent to me. the original owner is a cloud user while I’m a desktop user
and I get this error
Could any1 suggest/help?

Have you actually read the error Manger has identified?
Have you looked at what version of Manager desktop you are running?
Have you looked at Download | Manager

Btw, Manager cloud is automatically updated to the current version.

I can’t see where it says update?
I’m cautious i don’t want to mess up my data doing anything idk about

I strongly recommend reading all the table of contents of the guides. See Guides | Manager

If you had done so, near the top you would find

Initial Setup: Install or update desktop edition on Windows | Install or update desktop edition on macOS

To state the obvious, perhaps you should read that guide now you need more detailed information on that subject.
