Unable to setup my email

I recently updated my Desktop version to the latest version v23.10.25.1106. However, I cannot setup my email connection.
I have read through the Forum but could not find any solution.

Edition Windows 10 Home Single Language
Version 22H2
Installed on ‎21/‎10/‎2021
OS build 19045.3570
Serial number PF2QMB8J
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19052.1000.0

Email Settings:
SMTP: smtp.office365.com
Port: 587
Username: Pxxxxxxx
Email address: pxxxxxxx@hotmail.com

Can someone assist? Thank you.

Please note that you should fill only the Username with your email address and keep the email address field empty.

Apologies for the delay, I was out of the country.
After trying your recommendations, I still cannot get the email connection to work with the Manager software.
If you have any other suggestions please let me know ele, I have save every file and send it out individually.

You’ll most probably need to create an app password. I did and it worked.

A;so if you have any antivirus software install, pause it in total while you test your email sending. Some antivirus (or their settings) have caused heaps of issues with sending email from Manager.
