I’m posting here in case anyone wants to comment, maybe because they noticed the same thing when they searched for “check” to see only those payments, receipts, accounts that are related to checking accounts. But if this is indeed an anomaly, I think @lubos would be interested.
I appreciate @lubos 's dedication to making Manager a top-notch tool. And I think all Manager Accounting users have this same appreciation.
When I enter the word "check"
(or any substring such as "chec"
, "che"
, "eck"
, etc.) into the main search field on different pages, all rows remain visible – even those where "check"
does not appear in any field such as Paid from, Description, or Payee. It’s as though there’s an invisible "check"
present in every line.
Searching for “checked” also results in no filtering. However, searching for "unchecked"
filters the results as expected (though none match in my current data), suggesting this behavior may be specific to "checked"
and its substrings. I confirmed via Ctrl+F in the browser that “check” is only visibly present in a few rows.
This is a very low priority, as far as I’m concerned, because there are two very easy workarounds:
- Search for something else besides “checked” or any of its substrings.
- Use Advanced Search, which works as expected.
Here is an example picture of what I am describing:
