Read attachment button not working

Hi Forum, I have a problem with the read attachment button in the payments screen no longer working when I try to read a file. Files attach ok but cannot be read. The button lights up when selected but then nothing happens. I did recently update to Manager v1463, but do not know whether the problem coincided with this upgrade. Can anyone offer a suggestion as to what my problem might be? Thankyou.

You should state the full version number such as 24.4.25.1463

There is no Read button - Do you mean View button?

This maybe because your operating system does not have a program to view the attached file. What type of file is the attached file?

What operating system are you using?
What edition of Manager- Cloud, Server, Desktop?

Hi Joe91, The full version is 24.4.25.1463
It is the ‘view attachment’ button that is not working
Using jpeg and pdf files. Apps available and operating and have been working with this button feature for the past year.
Using windows11
Manager desktop edition.

Does this only happen with payments?
What if you try creating a new transaction and adding the file to the attachment. Then try clicking on the attachment, if this displays successfully, it is possible that your file in the previous transaction was corrupt.

Try

  • Right click on a link in Manager and choose “Open in a new window”. This will open Manager in your default browser.

  • In your default browser do you still have problems opening attached documents

  • If so look at your browsers settings → Application association which controls which application your browser uses to open files of various types (such as your attachment in a Manager window).

Hi Patch. Brilliant. After right clicking on attachments and opening in a new window I managed to get it working, but intermittently. I finally backtracked to my most recent backup and this is now working perfectly. All a bit strange. Thank you very much for your assistance.
