PDF attachment not openning

Hello,

Desktop version 24.8.6.1801. The attached PDF in the sales order is not opening. Please fix

It is not clear what you report. From the statement you seem to attach a PDF to the view screen of a sales order because you can not attach a .pdf file in the edit screen. I can not replicate the issue and think it may have to do with your system and the PDF reader you use.

I have attached a PDF file in sales order, not in edit mode. After clicking the attached PDF file it used to open in chrome, but now nothing happens.

This is a problem of your operating system not Manager

What operating system are you using?

Several things:

a) clear your browser cache.

b) ensure PDF viewer is still enabled in Chrome, check the following:

  1. Go to Chrome Browser.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Additional content settings > PDF documents.
  3. Select the option Open PDF in Chrome.

It was already selected, I have also cleared the cache & browsing data.

Try the alternative and select download PDF.

So try the same with Microsoft Edge rather than Chrome.

You could check what is the default program to open pdf files using Settings/Apps/Default Apps and enter pdf in the search box to see what the default pdf program is

Did you try this? Show us the downloaded .pdf file and if still an error message what it says (screenshot).

When I click the attached file on manager, nothing happens. I don’t get any error. I have downloaded a PDF file from internet & opened it, the files opens in explorer after setting explorer as default app to open PDF as you requested.

Right click on a link in Manager and choose open in a new window. That will open a Manager window in your default browser. Then try from there.

I use Firefox and have no issues opening or saving pdf attachments in Manager.

By the way does opening pdf documents fail for all pdf documents or just a particular one in Manager?
