@tut, good day. Need your help.
Is it possible to get a report of quantity for a selected item sold to various customers in a specified period by Custom Report. If yes, how?
Thanks in advance.

It seems like it should be possible. But I spent some time trying to create such a report and could not obtain any results. Custom reports are still under development.
@tut, thkx for your efforts but I have a strong feeling, it’s only you who can come up with a solution. So, please try again.
Actually, we are selling some items on promotion based on monthly target. At the end of the month, the customer will claim incentive based on different rates of incentives based on quantity slabs. If we can have a reporting to track the quantity of a particular items sold to various customers in a specified time, it will be great help.
May be @lubos may suggest how to get around it either by Custom Report or add such a reporting feature.
It’s really very important for us.

Well, you might think that, @sonicgroup, but I do not work for your company. I have my own business to run. My role as a forum moderator does not make me responsible for working on tasks for your business. Maybe some other creative forum member will have an idea. While custom reports in their current state are a large step forward, they are still not thoroughly documented. Nor are they complete according to the developer.
@tut, its clear that you have grossly misinterpreted my request. I know that you’re forum moderator and it’s your big favour for any tip or help you extend in this forum. My request was specifically directed to you because you have a vast experience of Manager and your help has always been a GREAT guidance to all forum members.
I’m perplexed and feel somewhat guilty for which of my words led you to comment here that you do not work for my company or make you responsible for working on tasks for my company. As I understand, in english language, the word request means to seek a favour from someone (a formal message requesting something submitted to an authority).
I conclude that you were neither considerate nor justified to comment that way.
May be @lubos may suggest a work around either by Custom Report or add such a reporting feature
@sonicgroup, I apologize if I misinterpreted your statements. But I don’t think I did.
Note, you never used the word request. So I do not know why you are now including dictionary definitions of it. That does not seem to be related to my trying to help you with a custom report.
You asked for help with a report. That was certainly an acceptable thing to do on the forum. I spent quite a bit of time trying to generate a report with the information you wanted. But I could not do it. I told you I thought it should be possible, but did not know a way. At that point, I considered my action as a moderator to be finished.
You then insisted that only I could find a way and asked me to try again. I had already tried everything I could think of. You seemed quite insistent, so I thought it would be good to remind you of my role. Many people misunderstand moderators’ roles, believing we are employees of the customer service department or software engineers. I meant no disrespect and am sorry if you took it that way.

Dear @lubos Hasko, I have to regretfully repeat the topic again because there was no response or suggestion from your side. You may have noted that I had said topic to be really very important for us. But, i wonder if it carried any impact to you.
I must say that, in the past, this Forum had been extremely helpful for users to find a solution or work around to problems faced with Manager. But, in the recent times, it’s being noticed that the the problems are being unattended or ignored.
I know you are quite busy but, at the least, we can expect a short note about my query. So, let me know if there is way to get the report. If not, I’ll have to find alternative means like excel (although bothersome) to keep a track for the sale of an item to various customers.
@AJD, thanks a lot for your invaluable help.
I’ll try and let you know.
@AJD, already tried out, it’s working perfectly great help indeed.
However, just one minor hitch. The amount that is showing is the purchase/cost price. I wish to have sales amount. I tried various ways but failed. Can you help me?
Use Qty, not Amount.
@Tut Thanks. Yes, the quantity is already there. However, for the amount, the amount displayed is purchase amount, I need sales amount.
Sales amount is not a variable in Manager. What are you referring to? Note that Amount is used for both sales and purchase transactions. It you want to list only sales transactions, you will have to include other filters, specifically, “Where Transaction contains Sales Invoice”. If you also sold via receipts alone, you will need a separate report.
