My Manager desktop app, icons and every backup for last week have vanished. Updated Manager on April 23rd. No backups show since that download. But, everything just vanished in the last 18 hours, while I was away. The computer was only in “sleep” mode. Where to find the updated app again, along with all the backups from the past week? All previous dates show up. Help!
And, what is the .tar extension I now see during backup process? Does that make a difference? No more .manager extension?
I found my icon by going windows button on keyboard+R then typing shell:AppsFolder and scroll untill you see Manager app icon right click on it and go create a short cut it will say something about not be able to do it would I like to create one on the desk top and say yes. I too noticed the back up being .tar apperently its another zipped folder used to zipp lots of smaller files it can be opened with winZip or 7Zip etc. But you can open it straight from your business screen in manager
Problem is back again! Why does the desktop newest version keep disappearing, even if I only put my laptop on “Sleep” mode? Why doesn’t the actual app stay in the Program X86 (or any other) folder? I’m so confused as to why this is happening. Now, if I try to open my latest backup, only the outdated version of the app opens. This feels very frustrating, after sucessfully using Manager desktop version for years. What’s the reliable secret to opening only the latest version of the app and also my latest backup. Someone help me understand why the behaviour of the latest version wants to keep disappearing on me, once my computer isn’t open and active? Thanks.
Yes I have to do it every time I update or back up. When I tried to explain it someone said they could not replicate it so it has to be me and not a bug. Unless you are a big wigg or coder or one of the select you often get spoken to like your stupid I stop coming on here for a while. Its even worse if you just use Desktop. Lubos and Brucanna I found very helpful.
