Persistent Requests for Data Access macOS / Sandboxing issues

Manager IO keeps asking for filesystem permissions. The dialog below keeps appearing after allowing. Manager IO 26.1.11.3168, macOS 26.2. I’m not concerned as I imagine it’s a bug with how Manager complies with macOS’s sandboxing, but apps usually need permissions given once and ideally just for whatever part of the filesystem they need.

Hello @Domenico,

This is a known issue and it seems to have something to do with the electron platform upon which Manager Desktop Edition is based.

This seems to only affect MAC devices and this hasn’t been resolved just yet.

Ok. I have a number of Electron based apps, and Manager is the only one doing this, despite system preferences showing Manager has full disk access

This has happened when using my USB without any interaction with Manager IO or its files, while Manager is open. When Manager is open, it also consistently asks for permission when I open the WhatsApp desktop app as well.

This is not an issue with other Electron apps and as such can be perceived as a security risk. If it’s an issue with macOS it can be reported to Apple.

Please check the latest version (26.3.12.3198) whether this issue persists.
