I’ve been using manager for a long time and I love it.
I have just formatted and reinstalled MacOS, and downloaded the latest manager, however I’m getting a lot of requests for things like app data from other apps, manager wanting access to my downloads directory, desktop files etc.
Is this happening for anyone else and is there a reason that it needs this access?
I got the “would like to access data from other apps” for the first time after updating recently, and came to ask the same question.
I reported this before here. @lubos did not know about it. According to him, there should be no need for Manager to access other apps’ files.
I thought I had found a solution, but it still happens from time to time.
It is still disturbing to me, and I hope it will be fixed.
I don’t think that this is a major issue of concern. It’s probably to do with how MacOS is handling permission or could be because of the new platform.
In any case, as @jeroen1 just pointed out, the developer is now aware of this and should have it sorted out.
