Older attachments redirect to Businesses page; Cloud backup seems to contain attachment names but missing historical file blobs

I urgently need help with an attachment recovery issue in a Manager Cloud business.

We are using Manager Cloud and also downloaded a backup and imported it into the latest Manager Desktop version. The recent attachments open correctly, but many older attachments do not open.

When I click an older PDF attachment from a voucher/payment screen, instead of opening the PDF, Manager redirects me back to the Businesses page. If I right-click and try to save/download the attachment, it downloads an HTML page named something like businesses, not the PDF file.

Example:

  • Transaction type: Payment
  • Date: 30-09-2025
  • Reference: 829
  • Attachment name visible: Salary FMO AUG 2025.pdf
  • Result: clicking the attachment redirects to /businesses instead of opening the PDF.

I tested this in multiple browsers and also in the latest Desktop version after importing the downloaded backup. Same issue for many older attachments. New/recent attachments open normally.

I inspected the downloaded backup structure and it appears that the attachment records/names exist, but many older actual file blobs are missing from the backup. In our case, the backup contains many attachment records, but only a smaller number of actual files in the Blobs folder. The pattern seems to be that newer attachments are present, while older historical attachments are missing/not opening.

Can Manager.io please confirm:

  1. Does a Cloud backup include all historical attachment files/blobs, or only current/migrated/recent ones?
  2. If older attachment metadata exists but the blob file is missing, can Manager.io recover or re-export the missing attachment blobs from Cloud storage?
  3. Is there any separate/full attachment export available for Manager Cloud?
  4. Is this a known issue with old attachments after backup/restore or attachment storage migration?

This is very urgent for accounting handover and audit purposes. I can share screenshots and technical details privately if required.

Thank you.
