Why do you think this is related to winsock?

It would be better if you provide information on what OS you are using, the Edition and version of Manager you are using, the browser you are using, and the Error that appears if there is one.

windows 7 ultimate, 32bit, nothing appears on the screen after opening the icon RELEASE - 23.12.9.1219

Note the FAQ - Manager Forum

Manager advances very quickly, simplifying and adding features and capabilities. Sometimes, bugs occur with new releases. But these are usually fixed rapidly, often within minutes. So if you encounter a problem with the desktop or server editions, update Manager , even if you recently did. (The cloud edition is always up to date.)

Actually, the 32 bit version is available on the https//:www.manager.io/download page

You are right, will update my reply.

Did the 32 bit only

Yes but you state version 23.12.9.1219. Please download and install latest from https://www.manager.io/download which at this moment is version 24.9.7.1842

Although Manager does support 32-bit version as pointed out by @VACUUMDOG it is for Manager 10 and newer (.msix files), see:

You can always try to rename the .msix file to .zip file and unzip in the apps folder and see if it runs. In any case you did not answer @Mabaega in full so please do.

issue not solved. having win7, 32bit and want to run manager.io is it possible??

release of which version is not the concern

Yes, there are many users on Windows that run Manager. You are not explaining what you are doing and if you downloaded and installed the correct version as explained in earlier posts (you have an outdated version). Not sure how you installed Manager and where (folder).

So without any further and much more detailed information, ideally with screenshots, we can not help you.

downloaded the latest file and the following error is seen while installing

" the procedure entry point EventSetInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll. "

As already mentioned:

Here’s a breakdown of what this could mean:

ADVAPI32.dll is a Windows system file related to advanced API (application programming interface) services, particularly for managing security, registry, and services. If the version of this file is outdated or incompatible, applications that expect newer functions will throw this error. The expected cause is that Manager is designed for a newer version of Windows that supports the EventSetInformation function, but you are running it on an older version (Windows 7).

Download the X86 Windows version from https://github.com/Manager-io/Manager

The file is a .msix file and you need to rename it to .zip, so Manager-win-x86.msix should be renamed to Manager-win-x86.zip

You then need to unzip that file. The Manager application will then be in that folder and you can try to open it.

When it says x86, it doesn’t mean it can work well on windows 7 x86 / 32bit, Manager Application runs with Webview2 which may not be compatible with Windows 7.

It’s better if you try it on Windows 10 or later, or keep using the old version of the manager which can still run on windows 7 32bit.
