Can't start Manager

I’ve installed a clean & updated version of windows 8.1
Installed Manager and the first start was without error.
Imported business without problem.
Now, after a couple of days, Manager won’t start anymore.
After clicking, it is shown in ‘Task Manager’ for a couple of seconds, and then it’s gone again.
No error shown, or anything then gives me information about why it’s not able to start.

I’ve re-downloaded and re-installed 2 times, both times I deleted the installation folder. No success.
I’ve tried to run in other compatibility modes, no success.
I’ve run it as administrator, no succes.
I’ve installed in a different folder, no succes.

Can you help me with this? No idea what to do next.

There was similar issue like this a few days ago. It turned out something that was recently installed broke Manager. I’m not sure why since that person has uninstalled multiple programs so he couldn’t tell but it fixed for him.

So go to Control Panel, then Programs & Features and sort your installed applications by the installation date. Uninstall those which you have installed just before Manager stopped working to see if it fixes the issue.

I’m also curious what’s causing this problem. Otherwise, send an email to support@manager.io to see if I can figure it out over TeamViewer.

Thank you for your quick reply. Nice it was fixed for the other one.

The strange thing is, I haven’t installed or changed anything between now and then. (with ‘then’ meaning the moment I’ve installed Manager). In the program list, Manager is the last installed software.

There is a list of Microsoft updates, ‘security update-, update-, and hotfix for microsoft windows’.
Also Microsoft visual C++ 2010 x86 and x64. But Manager was installed after these. The only difference was probably that the updates needed a Windows restart, and I probably installed Manager the first time before the restart of windows. But other than that, can’t think of anything else.

Any idea’s? Isn’t there a software that can monitor the start-up of Manager? So that I can see what happens on the background after clicking on Manager?

I’ve tried to start managerserver, just to see what happens, but then I got this error.
Do you think this tells something about why Manager won’t start?

Can you try to upgrade to the .NET Framework 4.5.2 to see if it resolves this issue?

I already had framework 4.5.2.
but I did run a repair on it.
Manager still doesn’t work.

And the advice given is:

Remove any installed non-IFS Winsock LSPs

To determine whether a non-IFS BSP or LSP is installed, use the "netsh WinSock Show Catalog" command, and examine every Winsock Catalog Provider Entry item that is returned. If the Service Flags value has the 0x20000 bit set, the provider uses IFS handles and will work correctly. If the 0x20000 bit is clear (not set), it is a non-IFS BSP or LSP.

You probably want to run netsh winsock show catalog > lsp.txt then open lsp.txt as the command will probably output too many entries into console. See if any entry has Service Flags with value that is not starting 0x2… That could be a problem.
