Manager not fully opening Windows 11 [SOLVED]

Manager not fully opening Windows 11

The program shows opened in taskbar but the window does not open on the screen.

wanting to use Manager on a backup laptop I used it on before, I downloaded latest version 26.3.10.3191 and when opening it the screen did not open on the monitor. I saw it running in the taskbar (screen shot above). I even reinstalled version 25.9.20.2801 which did work on this laptop before and got this same behavior.

Even reconnected the second monitor thinking maybe the window was stuck on there but no luck with that either.

today’s download and install (that did not work)

previous that did work before (that worked before but did not work after the downgrade-reinstall today)

Watching task manager, I see Manager running and periodically it gives like 0.2-3.4% CPU usage but is most of the time at 0%

Is your Windows 11 Pro 32- or 64-bit?

FWIW, my main laptop runs this just fine - so probably not directly a Manager issue…would appreciate any hints to see what else might be the issue in the backup laptop (detailed above). I’ve checked past threads for odd ball things like the LavaSoft issue and don’t seem to have any of that.

using W11 here and all works okay.

yeah works on my other W11 too, jut this one it is having issues (it worked before). since no other programs seem to be affected, I was hoping someone would chime in on something specific to check on the W11/Manager interface that might be the issue.

The following might help, but please make sure you back up your data first!

To be as sure as possible that you’re starting with a clean slate, you could first uninstall the Managerio software via the Control Panel.

Then restart your computer.

Download and install the latest version of Managerio Desktop. (Please note, you may now have several Managerio files in your downloads folder, so make sure you select the file you’ve just downloaded).

I have had a similar issue when I take my laptop without the external screen I usually use. Manager seems to want to persistently open in the ‘other’ screen, even though it is not connected. My solution has been to make sure I always move the window to the laptop screen, then change the display settings so that it has no extended displays. Then shut Manager and when I reopen it without the extended display it works ok.

Perhaps you need to reset the Windows display settings

Windows key+P and choose the relevant option

Browser windows tend to remember where they were last active and try to reopen there again

Thank you for the ideas. I was able to solve it by:

  1. hovering over the icon in the task bar then

  2. when the small window pops up move the cursor onto the small window

  3. then pressing the right mouse button which brings up the choice box shown below, then

  4. choose maximize.

After I did this, Manager opens full screen continually.
