MacOS Backup button not workig

I downloaded 21.2.4 and updated my MacOS install.
The backup feature has stopped working now.
When we click backup, the backup form comes up with Name and checkboxes for Attachments, Emails & History.

However, when Backup button is clicked it shows spinner & then disables the button without opening file selection window.

I updated it to latest 21.2.11 version but same results.

Note: The restore from other machine works correctly as expected. It is just Backup that does not bring native file selection window?

It is an old iMac which I cannot update.

Also when I click on PDF button it does not bring dialog to save the file.
May be they are both linked.

Same with me cannot backup / PDF / Copy to Clipboard. I am using a MacBook Pro - Mojave 10.14.6, with a Desktop, Manager 21.2.13

Crash when creating pdf on Mac after installing Ver 21.1.23

I need help urgently. All previous work appears to be okay. I just updated to Ver 21.1.23 I was previously using 20.11.19? I think? Now I can’t send to a PDF program crashes, nor print an invoice get the following “There is no application set to open the URL eto:print.” Search the App Store for an application that can open this document, or choose an existing application on your computer. Also Backup does not save file to desktop anymore - appears to be doing something but file is not save…

To summarise the 79 posts, it appears that macOS’s 10.13.6, 10.14.1 and 10.14.6 on older mac machines have an issue with Manager after Ver 21.1.6. There is discussion on how you can go back to Manager Ver 21.1.6 but that solution may not be available in all cases.

Upgrading your mac machine may be the only solution based on this Lubos comment:

“I’m not quite sure whether this issue will be fixed. Both High Sierra and Mojave no longer receive bug fixes from Apple. I’m awaiting guidance from third-party programmer to see if this is fixable and whether we can continue supporting High Sierra and Mojave or we will have to bump up minimal requirements to Catalina or higher.”

I dont have past downloads. Where can I get Manager Ver 21.1.6 for Mac to try and see if this is working?

I am afraid that I am in the same boat (no Backups).
If our older Macs are not supported then I guess that It will be bye bye Manager.
Its a shame but I am not buying a new computer just so that I can run Manager.

Hi All,

I read somewhere that the manager desktop is avalable on http://localhost:55667/ url.
I then used the latest version of Manager.io on the desktop.
Instead of using Manager Desktop, I used the browser to access the manger.

I am happy to say that all the carshing issues are sorted in browser version.
I can now generate PDFs and also backup & restore the businesses.

Give it a try and see if it works for you all too?
