Hi I tried to update manager to the latest version but my transactions are not moving to the latest version but I can only access them in the old version
Did you make a backup of the business(es) before updating? Also did yoiu copy / move the new download to the applications folder and agreed to overwrite the existing Manager application?
yes I also backup and normally after up dated it will just pop us with the other businesses
Please answer the question. How did you install Manager?
I dowloaded it once it was done i went to download click on the icon of manager then it automatically opened
To install Manager correctly on a Mac you should drag and drop the Manager application to the Applications folder. This is normal practice for MACOS.
i tried that no change
Also make sure that you downloaded a version suitable for your Mac.
- Only 64-bit operating systems are supported
- Note that ARM processor (Apple silicon) version (M1, M2 and M3 processors) are the ones downloaded when you simply click “Free Download” from https://www.manager.io/download
- If you have an Intel-based MAC you need to click on the small link “Alternative download for intel-bases Macs” below and install that.

thats what i did cause i have an m1
What is your application data folder set to in the new and old versions?
What exactly do you mean by that
the one with the business is the old version and the other one without business is the new version normally when i update to the latest version it just pops up all the business with the latest version but yesterday when i did that the latest version has no business on it
the bottom left corner shows the application data file being used. They are different.
-
Goto the location shown in the old version and make a copy of those files (create a backup)
-
Start your new version and change the application data file or copy the files from the other location to the new location
