I do not know what you mean by “via dialog box.” A dialog box in a program appears in response to an action. Until you add an image via HTML code, there has been no action.
Images must be at web-accessible storage locations, not on your computer. What you envision only works for files on your machine.
yes
give option as like bussiness logo
select from my machine and upload on database
Images are not stored in the database because they would rapidly make it too large. You may have noticed that business logos are restricted to 250 KB in size for that reason. They are called from their storage location so they can be whatever resolution you desire.
yes exactly
also i need images on inventory item but used via choose file option
I have already explained why that will not happen.
I think that is a good idea to reduce Managers operating complexity now that storage for Manager cloud users is not a limiting factor.
The user interface to enable display of images in the various locations currently used would need to be thought through.
Maybe having a custom field type “Image” where clicking on it in the transaction edit screen would prompt for a image to upload (similar to attachments on the view screen). The image would then display on the view screen.
Access via custom themes I’m less sure about.
Thinking some more, my above suggestion is a poor implementation.
The issue is images should be stored once and referenced multiple times. For example an image for an inventory item should not have a copy stored in each invoice only a reference to the image location.
Which probably means adding an image tab to Manager. Items stored there could then be referenced by custom fields and custom themes.
Not sure about generalising this to other linked documents such as standard terms & conditions.
The interface would be similar to attachments. Maybe their functionality could be combined in one tab but I haven’t thought this though to a clean implementation.
