Dear Sir,
I can see a sales invoice in the History but not in the Customer account or the Sales Invoices database.
I have cross checked for any edit. I have a hard copy attested by the customer. Its not reflecting anywhere
Hello @ishaqster,
It’s possible that either:
- It’s been deleted
- There was some update that made it unidentifiable
To test for these possibilities, you can filter your History for Sales Invoice once for Delete action and another for Update action
Thank you for your reply. its still the same
Please share some screenshots so we can tell if anything is wrong.
We need:
- A screenshot of the History View screen of that Invoice
- A screenshot of Sales Invoices tab search for that Invoice
This still doesn’t rule out the possibility of changing reference.
Also, please show the View of the History entries for both invoices you pointed out numbers 8368 & 8451
The above two screenshots are from History
Is there anyway I can contact the company
Customer support for Manager is via this forum.
Other accounting programs have a different support structure and associated cost.
Dear @ishaqster,
The forum is the only free support channel by Manager.io and I am an official moderator affiliated with Manager.
There’s not much anyone can do to help you if you don’t cooperate and provide the information required. I asked you twice to give me a screenshot of the View screen of the History of Invoices # 8368 & 8451 but you didn’t.
Please click on the View button, outlined in red and share the screenshots:
No worries @ishaqster, and thanks for sharing these screenshots.
Your screenshots show nothing out of the ordinary, however, this still doesn’t provide evidence of a bug.
There’s still a possibility of having the reference number changed and then deleted, in which case, there is no possibility of confirming or denying if that ever happened without examining all History entries one by one, unfortunately.
I admit, that this raises a few ideas for improvements in the software to help troubleshoot such situations, namely, a traceback from History to related record for which I will create a separate related topic.
However, for now, we are stuck with troubleshooting the hard way – unfortunately. So please bear with me.
Let’s take invoice #8368 and test the following:
-
Go to Sales Invoices tab, make sure that
Description
andInvoice Amount
columns are visible. If not, make them visible from Edit columns -
Type in the following in the search box “1030x770 Plates 42.0”
See if anything pops up.
An alternative is to copy the entire history to clipboard for Sales Invoice
starting from 09-06-2025
I have created this linked idea to help improve traceability of History.
Just for your information. I have created the same Invoice number on the same date
I would do a search of parts of the invoice then look at the history button on the invoice to see who edited the prior one eg
- changed customer (check you don’t have two customer entries in Manager with very similar descriptions
- Changed date of invoice
- etc
I agree a link in history to the current transaction would be a better solution
Invoice #9112 looks oddly suspicious.
Did you try to View invoice #9112 and then check its History from the bottom of the view screen
I think this is the issue. Invoice created, then updated reference (maybe even date) and then updated again or deleted.
Above is an example if we try to find SalesInvoice-2999 we wont find it. it has create history but no delete history with that reference number exist.
OP should check in the History tab and try to find the update action. It should be with a strikethrough text like in the picture above. May use Ctrl+F to search the invoice numbers which are missing as there is no search in History View.
