How to get earlier version

My PC - which I run my invoicing from has just died.
I have Manager on my backup Mac - version 23.11.13.1143 on a System running OSX Mojave (10.14.6)
The software won’t run - it just freezes as soon as I load the business data.
So I need to work out what the most up to date version of the app is for installation that will be compatible with that Mac OS, please and I need to be able to download that and I need all this urgently please.

Also, I’m still wondering why this software has still been designed NOT to have an auto-save function for the backup file, given how business-critical the sort of data we are dealing with here is. I fail to comprehend how anyone could have designed software like this that doesn’t auto-save its work - this is a permanent risk. Why can’t the data just be auto-saved to a file on my server that I can access from any connected machine? If I lose my local machine as I’ve just done I lose all the data that was only saved on that machine, right?
If they backups need to be separate why can’t they be scheduled? It’s like this thing has been set up to permanently deny people access to their own data.

Search the forum, it was extensively explained. For automation tasks such as this the user would need to install cron (Linux and MacOS) or Scheduled Tasks (Windows) where you need to set the time-intervals, tasks etc. yourself. This is not a Manager responsibility. If you have the discipline to open a business in Manager you also can immediately generate a backup and also ensure you copy that backup to at least a Cloud server or a rmovable Disk/Stick that you store somewhere away from your business/house, etc.

You can find any version of manager here https://github.com/Manager-io/Manager/releases

If you have the offline version of manager it is automatically saved in the Appdata folder of the application. The software is already giving you a backup it is up to you how you take advantage of that.

I used to make a script that can copy the autosaved version of Manager to a google drive folder at 3 different times each day using Microsoft task scheduler.

Not anymore, the much older versions are no longer there. The oldest you can download from github is v 22.6.1.53 of 1 June 2022.

Today, both Windows and Mac have integrated backup system within their operating system which is backing up all your files.

In case of Windows, it’s OneDrive. In case of Mac, it’s iCloud.

I made some adjustments in the past few months where desktop edition is saving the data by default so Manager data would be automatically backed up by operating system without users doing anything. Of course, you can (and should) always do manual backups too.
