Have you read the Guide on emailing and followed all relevant links?
Yes, nothing about shared mailboxes of office 365 .
What exactly do you mean by “shared mailboxes?”
You already have all the field except “use authentication” which is implied by the password and “use tls/ssl” which is implied by the port 587.
Enter the fields you have, test the setup and tell us how it goes.
There are two fields, sender email and SMTP user in the app I’m sharing from allowing me to enter the shared mailbox i.e info@domain.com and also my email in the SMTP user, in manager only one field.
Are you familiar with Exchange shared mailboxes? have you configured them successfully?
I want the email to be sent from info@mydomain (Exchange shared mailboxes do not have a password).
I’m only able to send from personal emails not Shared mailboxes using manager.
To be able to do so, two fields need to be available. smtp credentials and user name, the screenshot that you pasted is not in my manager cloud, this is what I have. The other field is just to send email copy, and is not meant to be the shared mailbox field based on my tests and trials.
I don’t think you are going to be able to send from an email address without a password, because authentication is required. I think you should send from what you are calling a “personal” email address, that is, a username for a password-protected email address. Check the box to receive replies at a different address and put you infor@mydomain.co there.
As far as I know, Tut is right. Exchange uses its own protocol (MAPI).
Manager supports the standard Internet protocol (IMAP).
You can not, you can only add a personal mailbox using 365 SMTP server, see for instructions How to set up a multifunction device or application to send email using Microsoft 365 or Office 365 | Microsoft Learn or ins short:
Server/smart host: smtp.office365.com
Port: Port 587 (recommended) or port 25
TLS/StartTLS: Enabled
Username/email address and password: Enter the sign-in credentials of the hosted mailbox being used
Thanks, can manager then in a multi user setup have each user send his quotes and or invoices as himself or it must be a single user for email communication from manager?
Single user only.
