Database file remains after delete a company (desktop version)

My database folder keeps growing.

I maintain 10 companies on my Manager (desktop version) but when I look at the database folder, there are about 25 files.

From the date of these files, I suspect these are database files from companies I have removed from Manager.

Is there a reason why the corresponding file is not being deleted when I remove a company?
