This is all I get now since latest download. Can not open Manager at all.
Hi @dori,
Is this Desktop Edition or Server Edition? Also, have you had any major Windows updates recently?
You can also try:
- Re-download and re-install latest version of Manager
- Restart your machine and try opening Manager again
Please let us know how you go. Don’t try to reinstall the old version, as your files may have been upgraded already and opening with an older version could cause corruption. Let’s focus on getting this (or a newer) version working instead
This is the desktop versions. It is quite possible that there have been windows updates recently. I’m not sure. Thank you for your suggestions. I will re-install and reboot then let you know…Dori
this error is mostly due to windows categorizing programs in different security zones.
try clearing your cache and deleting temporary internet files.
Followed your suggestions but nothing changed.
Made no difference.
try following any of the methods in this topic and tell us what worked.
I’ve tried everything suggested except installing the server edition. Everything remains the same. Isn’t there a cost to the server edition? Any more suggestions? Thank you.
Would it be ok to do a Restore or would that complicate things?
You can install and trial it for free. It’s the full version, but has a banner saying it’s a trial version.
Thank you Tut. I will try it now.
Well I started to install it but I am very uncomfortable with the terminology. I really don’t know what it’s talking about so I didn’t continue. How am I going to get out of this mess?
Is your antivirus causing the issue ?
You could “disable” the antivirus and see if Manager works. Otherwise, try re-installing if you saved the download file or download again with the antivirus disabled.
Tried that. Didn’t work.
If you are using Windows - try to do a system restore dated prior to the issue occurring.
Not sure if other systems have that feature.
But it appears that there is a conflict occurring between a system update which occurred sometime between your last and current Manager downloads.
Ok. I was wondering if it would be safe for me to do that. I’ve done it before so I will try that. Thanks again.
Did a system restore but I still have the problem. In fact my whole system has become extremely sluggish since the restore.
Time to visit a computer doctor I think.
you do not have to download and install anything new for server edition.
in your manager installation folder, there is a file ManagerServer.exe
run it, open your browser and go to 127.0.0.1:8080
it will ask for a password, just press enter and open your business file.
if the error repeats, atleast it may give more details about the error.
you have only run the application.
what about the rest of the steps i mentioned?
