Computer crashed. Using another machine to continue accounting work. I’ve been using desktop version since 2020 and has been a great program for our needs (NGO). I was not aware of an updated version and that old version suits my needs just fine. I will update. But the conflict I have now is with the latest backup, with the new version that I downloaded yesterday, well, the backup only shows records from 2020…neither backup that I have done monthly shows up to date. After reading the forum, I guess is an old version issue…How can I resolve this?..Thank you very much.
It isn’t clear what you are saying
First of all - please state what version of Manager you are using or were using
Are you saying that you downloaded the latest version of Manager (24.10.8.1879) and imported a business using a backup file ?
What do you mean by “neither backup that I have done monthly shows up to date” ?
Sorry for not explaining well.
I cannot remember the version of Manager (desktop) I was using. the first back up I did that year was on December 9, 2020 and I had downloaded Manager like 2 weeks before doing that backup.
Yesterday I downloaded a desktop Manager on another computer and tried to retrieved the last backup I had done with the old version (on the computer that crashed). That backup I had stored in the cloud. So I imported that file, and it only shows data from the year 2020.
I do a monthly backup ever since 2020. Attempted to import another backup file and shows the same data from 2020.
The Manager backup files in the cloud have different sizes and dates accordingly.
It sounds like you have specified dates for your display correctly. If the imported backup opened and you have any data, you have the entire file with all data.
What exactly do you mean by that? Shows where? Which screen or report?
Also be sure you imported the correct, most recent backup, not one from 2020.
Or that the backups were made of a business with only data for 2020 for some reason
It is most unlikely, if not impossible, that Manager has deleted data of its own accord
The thing is that the backup file I tried to restored yesterday has a date of October 6, 2024.
And has data for all those years, starting from 2020 until this month.
I dont know if its the different updates on the program and that I got left behind without doing them.
I dont think so, either…it wont erase data.
But will see If I can restore the other computer that crashed.
Thank you!
Ok, got the records showing.
I was “missing” the payments module, but was not aware of the panel not showing them as default. Sorry about this gentlemen. Everything is fine. Thanks again.
