Add Option to Hide Delete and Update Buttons

Currently Authorities are asking why the accounting system has the button to delete and edit even if it is disabled. They are suggesting the transactions can be edited which is exactly what we want yes.

Can you put in settings option to hide the edit and delete buttons if user does not have permission?

It would greatly appreciated we get to edit our transactions and give the authorities nicely done books while maintaining trust in the software we use.

We would even pass audits well.

I don’t understand this. When you create restricted user and give them read/create access only, then they won’t be able to update/delete.

Yes They wont be able to delete but the edit and delete button is visible. Can it be hidden so that auditors do not think we are manipulating transactions we just tell them its unedittable and no such buttons exists.

Can you show screenshot demonstrating the issue? The buttons are visible but they have “disabled” look and there is a notice why the button cannot be clicked.

I understand and agree with you I am just saying:

Instead of disabling can they not be hidden only but rather

not shown at all if user does not have the rights.

I’ve tried that. It only confuses people where are the buttons if they expect them to be there. There needs to be some kind of explanation why they are not there.

If you are saying auditors are concerned because non-clickable buttons are visible. This is the first time I hear about concern like that.

Its the right thing to do. But i have seen you placed an audit trail so since you are concerned about users asking where the buttons are:

  1. If Auditors Come we can show the audit trail it should resolve the “Issue of Concern”.
  2. I Just Thought it would be ideal to not show them in future when other users log same issue maybe you can implement for sure.

I prefer the way it is, it does not take long for our users to know that they are disabled because of restricted authorization. As for auditors an admin user could always edit the content so do not understand the point because it is mostly these users that also are reponsible to the auditors and indeed we use History in case they have questions.
