There are no limits on anything in the desktop edition. If you transfer to the cloud edition, you import your entire business file. See this Guide: Backup, restore, import, and transfer businesses | Manager.
Purchase invoices can be added to Manager in bulk using Batch Create. But it is quite difficult because the database uses numerous indecipherable hexadecimal strings. Why do you want to do this? It is usually unnecessary.
