That is because you have the Delivery Notes tab activated.
To do Sales Invoices with Delivery Notes, in the Sales Invoices view mode click on “Copy to . .” and select Delivery Note

Ok, current version is 17.6.72, so try updating and then see if it still occurs.
Can’t locate which version the Inventory Locations field was added to the Purchase/Sales Invoices form if the Goods receipts / Delivery Notes tabs weren’t used.

I believe you are referring to the Received in field. That’s a dropdown for selecting which cash account the transaction is posted to:
