I can’t subscribe up to one year subscription from my end due to limit placed by authorities from my end, can payment be split into several installments, ie.5 times?
Any help please.
You can pay monthly
It will cost a bit more but …
I think that @Emeka should not be “punished” by higher fees because of the inability of the banks to allow for more than $100 in forex because of their Central Bank Directives. It seems unfair and I hope that @Lubos can arrange something so scheduled payments can be made without having to pay a larger fee until the country revolves back to bigger forex allowances.
Thanks@Eko
Can you not pay using local currency?
There is a long list of currencies available
Of course I was trying to pay with local currency (NGN190000) but my limit is about NGN35,000
There is not a lot anyone can do if your government implements forex controls to stop citizens importing goods or services from abroad.
Presumably, they want their citizens to purchase and use locally produced goods and services but if there is no equivalent good or services, then it is unrealistic to expect foreign producers to supply them free or at a reduced cost.
In the end, forex controls are self-defeating and do not work in today’s world, as any economist can tell you. But that does not stop governments imposing them on their citizens. Only the rich and powerful have the means to circumvent them using wealth they have transferred abroad
Get a dollar credit card from your bank and source for dollar from bureau de change to deposit on it, then you make the subscription. It will not take you more than a day or two.
