I imported bank transactions into one of the bank accounts. When I try to sort them by amount, they are sorted by first digit rather than actual amount.

Your screenshot shows all of the ones listed are in Suspense account. I am not sure what you try to achieve when sorting them by amount as you have to clear them from suspense in any case.
Sorting in Manager is alpha-numeric in most places. So the program sorts by the first character, then the second if necessary, then the third, etc. This is not a bug; it is how the program is designed. You can read about this in many other previous forum topics. In the case of Suspense account, the standard sorting protocol is not modified, because nothing should be in Suspense. In a few cases, where it matters, different sort routines are in place.
