Settings / Business details : Spain is missing

Hi,

I created a new business and when inputting the business information in Settings/Business details there is no mention of Spanish in the country drop-down list. I even search if country Spain was not accidently listed under other language, not the case !

Can you add Spain/spanish as an item in the country drop-down list. I know I can switch languages at the bottom of every manager screen, but perhaps selecting the country Spain gives access to country-specific reports ?

keep up the great work you’re doing, been usng Manager for over 10 years now !

There are no country-specific features for Spain yet. Right now, the focus is on where the most users are coming from. However, using Manager in Spain is perfectly fine because fundamental accounting principles are the same everywhere.

Hi Lubos,
Perhaps spanish users are more frequent than you think, but we just communicate in English, or we ask less questions

True that with the spanish VAT rates I introduced in the system, everything works.

Perhaps I can assist with providing information to automate quarterly or monthly VAT returns, annual VAT reports on sales and purchases etc… even with spanish text.

Regards

There is a feature now in manager where you can upload a template for other people to use.
If you wish you could make a template for Spain.

See post:

For language contribute to Spanish at:

User contribed localisation were possible in the past however that feature has been removed. I believe very few contributions were actually made in practice.

I will be reintroducing it because there is a value in having universal starting point for each country/language combination. The issue was that some countries would have multiple keen contributors and I wasn’t able to pick one to be in charge. And not picking one was also bad because conflicts between contributors would arise. I have more clarity how I need to structure it.

It would be nice to have a discussion board for localizations

It has taken me a decade to uncover it, what a waste of time! It would be beneficial for me to connect with other Spaniards who use the application.

Hello @JuanVazquez,

Welcome to the forum.

Since you are a first time user, I translated your post to English out of courtesy.

Please note that this forum is in English only and you can use the forum’s built in AI translator to do so:

Anyway, could you please elaborate on what exactly have you been struggling with for the past 10 years.

If it’s relating to Spanish localization, then maybe I can help you with this if you’re willing to invest a little bit of time guiding me throughout the process.

The lack of any country specific localizations means that no one from that specific locale assumed the task of making it available, however, my job is to help users to get their Manager localized with the least amount of effort.

For 10 years I have been bumping from one tool to another. In part learning curve which drive to change. In parte en of app life cycle. The last one, Economacs, simple, yet with the right toolset. Char of accounts and taxes for Spain included, A good enough editor for reports and invoices personalization. But, version 6 ended support, only Norway. And, now, Rosetta is disappearing in Mac. I would love to consolidate on your product. I am a solo worker with very few monthly invoices, max 3 some months.

I am open to help the product. get localized. It is something I’ve done in other occasions.

Best

Juan

Naming the field “Country” is always confusing for most people. Maybe it can be renamed “Country Specific Settings” or Locale Settings?

Great, we can start by sharing the following:

  1. The official tax return forms to be generate by Manager
  2. The applicable tax rates
