Search within invoices

Dear all,

Is it possible to search (anything) within Sales/Purchase Invoices?
I’m trying to search for the lines entered within the invoice(s), like a single word, amount or string. So let’s assume I want to search all Sales invoices for ‘Dell Latitude E7470’. This in the same way it’s listing right now, though only those that match the search criteria.

I’ve read the basic search function and I conclude this isn’t implemented:

• Search for records | Manager
• Sort lists and tables | Manager

The entire concept is one of narrowing results, not expanding them, but in benign rather than drastic ways. That is why:

• All search strings are already treated as “contains”
• Criterion order is ignored
• Every additional string is treated as a Boolean AND
• There are no qualifying parameters

Is this something that’s on the bucket list/backlog/roadmap? Or is it already in-place, but I don’t know how?

No. The Search function searches what is onscreen, as is very clearly stated in the first bullet of the first Guide you linked in your message.

Use the Sales Invoice Totals by Item report and drill down on the item you are interested in.
