I am currently using Manager cloud version 24.10.19.1895 and encountering an issue with my invoice and purchase order templates. The content continues onto the next page without applying a proper page break, causing formatting issues when printing or saving as a PDF.
I have checked the theme settings but was unable to locate the code to insert the page break. Could you please assist in resolving this issue? @lubos
You should not expect action. Themes are an obsolete feature and are not supported. They remain in the program, but do not accommodate features, like Footers, added since they became obsolete. They remain only to support functionality available when themes were still actively supported.
You may be interested to know that the program used to function with a default theme, but no longer works that way. So when you use a custom theme, you are bypassing much of the built-in code and substituting your own. You are responsible for everything it does or does not do.
Perhaps you did not read my earlier response. This is not a bug. The manner in which the program functions has been changed. The new way supports footers. The old way, using themes, never did and was never intended to, because footers had not yet been invented.
Likewise, themes never supported pagination, which is controlled by your printer driver.
This entire thread is exploring things that will never change, so it is pointless.
I didn’t say that footers work with themes. I mentioned that footers themselves are facing the same issue on the default theme. I brought attention to this issue in the forum post, but haven’t received any response yet.
At this point we will have to want on @lubos
or if you have a unopened backup you can open it in a older version of manager.
I use version 24.10.14.1886 and it works great on the Footers.
You can get older versions from the Github page.
Just note that you need a backup that has not been opened in the newer manager version.
Ok but do you have any backups?
If so then if they have not been opened in Manager version 24.10.19.1895 then you can open them in Manager version 24.10.14.1886 by downloading the desktop Edition.
I know that it is not great way, but that way you can print and edit your footers till @lubos fixes it.
I disagree, @ibnrawaha. You have been using terminology that has a specific historical significance in the development of Manager.
When you say that and there is no longer any such thing as a default theme, it conveys a definite message that you are using custom themes. There is no alternative.
