I would like to create a new business with the backup file and would like to keep all the chart of accounts, bank, cash accounts, and the setup but minus all the transactions. Is it possible?
Sorry, that’s currently not possible. You can export list of customers, suppliers, inventory items etc. and import into new file using spreadsheet program.
I just found it easier to backup the business and import as a new business and then delete all the transactions. Much quicker and simpler. Depends on how many transactions you have though.

The only way to get rid of financial transactions is to delete them one at a time. Customer, suppliers, inventory items, and such can be managed with batch processing, but not transactions.
