No automatic generation of email address on receipt

Hi,

Please help me to clarify this because no topic has dealt with it yet.

Mailing Receipts is awesome but i discovered that unlike invoices, credit notes and others,
receipts do not automatically generate customers email address. Manually inserting the
recipients email address is stressful.

Also, the receipts do not appear as type under email templates settings.

Please help me out.

That is because receipts are not associated with a customer. They are associated with a payee. Even if the payee’s name is the same as a defined customer, there is no subsidiary ledger for the payee and no email recorded. So you must enter it manually.

That follows from my first answer above. Since there is, so far as the program knows, no one to send a receipt to, there is no template.
