When using the new Batch Delete function for cash accounts, an unexpected behavior exists. If the batch delete selection list is longer than one page and you click the icon to continue selecting on the next page:
the program jumps to the corresponding page for the Find & recode function:
and the button available at the bottom of the screen is no longer for Batch Delete but for Batch Update:
If the icon is then clicked, the program goes back to page 1 of what would have been the Find & recode function, not page 1 of Batch Delete.
The specific behavior originally described has been fixed. That is, when using the navigation arrows, the program steps through pages of the Batch Delete listing.
However, if items are checked on one page and you navigate to another page, either forwards or backwards, the checks on the first page are lost. So the Batch Delete button only works on one page at a time.
That is how it’s intended to work. You can only batch delete up to 50 rows at the time. If you navigate away from the screen, selection will be cancelled.
Find & Recode works the same way too. Maximum 50 rows at the time can be batch re-coded.
I have over 4,700 transactions in my paypal account and I am importing these. After importing I am creating rule for recurring transactions and then I have to pass through 95 pages of transactions individually and press button “Bulk Update” which is a very LENGTHY process. It should be smart work, like an option to show all records in one page or selecting all transaction of specific rule(s) and updating all in one go.
That how software is made for easiness, reducing cumbersome work and time efficient.
I hope this query will get a positive response.
These transactions represent a year and mostly transactions are in Paypal account which is a multi currency account involving exchange rate fluctuations.
@Zain.Hemani, I see from your profile that you just joined the forum. If you are just beginning to use Manager, migrating from a previous accounting system, there is no need import your entire history. You can just set starting balances on accounts to match closing balances on the last day of your former system.
Since it’s a volume for entire year - yes, it is a bit inconvenient to go through 95 pages but if each page takes 10 seconds to confirm (as long as all the bank rules are already in place), it will take roughly 15 minutes to categorize all 4,700 transactions.
