New Guide for New Inventory Item creation

I don’t understand the new layout for the New Inventory Item (Edit) form. What is the intended usage of the Autofill checkboxes:
Autofill — Line Description;
Autofill — Purchases – Unit Price;
Autofill — Sales – Unit Price;
Autofill — Sales — Division; and
Autofill — Tax Code?

The current Guide is out of date.

They control whether the relevant content is automatically inserted on transaction forms.

I created a new inventory item with Autofill — Line description, Autofill — Purchases — Unit price, and Autofill — Sales — Unit price checkboxes selected, and I entered the relevant data for those fields. However when I created a New Payment to purchase the new inventory item, the Amount (purchase price) field is blank, i.e. Purchase — Unit price has not been “Autofilled”.

You need to illustrate all this with screenshots.


It looks like I have to check Column – Qty, and then Column – Unit price on the Payment form. Then it Autofills the unit price :slightly_smiling_face:

Correct. You can also make that a Default Setting, click on Form Defaults (is at bottom of the Payments tab list next to Batch Delete.
