So I have 3 email addresses which helps me keep track of what is happening. ie. Info@domain is for clients only, supply@domain is for supplier communication and user@domain for more personal interaction with issues relating to aftersales.
I would love if I could select from which email my manager should mail from, alternating between quotes/invoices and purchase quotes/invoices.
It sounds like a great idea! Many email services allow you to choose which address to send from making it easy to alternate for different communications. Providers like SMTPget, Gmail, Outlook and Zoho Mail offer this feature.
Manager is not an email application but allows for sending emails. If you need email functionality beyond basic sending protocols and thus include IMAP or POP (receiving emails) then you should download the report, invoice, receipt, etc and use an email application such as the ones you refer to. Note that even though you could so called select from which email addresses the truth is that each have their own SMTP and IMAP/POP authentication that you need to setup before using the email client. Manager allows for only one of those and that is just to facilitate sending of emails not receiving them into Manager.
I think you are misunderstanding the concept. The concept is not to receive any mails. Only sending, hence smtp. So you will set up your 2, 3 or 4, how many ever smtp’s which would allow you to select which email to send from. The same as the existing one works, just for more than 1. In other words no more than basic sending protocols.
No I did not. You want multiple smpt options to send emails from and I tried to explain that Manager is not a full-fledged email client and we already should be happy that it allows for one smtp send option per business. This usually would be a no-reply@domain.??? Recently you can also choose HTTP protocol.
I tried to explain that if you want more smtp servers to work for your business simultaneously then it is best to use a standard email application that also has the benefit of receiving emails.
For Cloud users there is always also the risk that one or more businesses use the smtp or HTTP server to send bulk emails and can make such smtp IP address a banned one (spam filters).
Does ,unfortunately, not convey the same message, as smtp is in fact basic sending protocols and nothing more. But thank you for clarifying your thoughts. It is appreciated
