Manager.IO Files/Folder

I have been keeping my desktop Manager files on a NAS (network accessible storage device) (as I mentioned in my post under ‘Backup data corruption after trying to open in a previous version of Manager’), but it has been indicated that it may lead to file corruption issues, so I moved my Manager folder to a folder on my desktop. I did this by cutting and pasting the entire folder with several companies in it, and when I pasted, it created another folder named “Manager.io” (my original folder is named “ManagerIO”) with company files, and a trash folder, and company files move in and out of the trash folder when they are imported or removed from the Manager dashboard. Why did it do this? I thought Manager now opened files directly from their location. Which files is Manager reading? The ones in the folder I pasted in? Or the ones in the folder it created? I am in version 25.4.17.2256. Thanks!

I’m not using the current version but I assume it’s still the same.

Thanks! Do you know why it created a second folder?

No, don’t know. I’ve also had the program change folders before on new installations for ‘unknown’ reasons.
