it is basic question, i tried to search forum for old posts but still unclear.
If i want to backup my all data of manager server, where are DB files and where are files which are attached via manager software by users etc.
@lubos wrote about it that application data can location can be checked from “About Manager”
but I am unable to find “About Manager” option or tab in current server version.
Manager server is installed using this command
tar -xzf /usr/share/manager-server/ManagerServer.tar.gz -C /usr/share/manager-server
so which files should i backup to make sure i have everything in case of any loss/crash.
also what is best possible way to automate backups, directly backup directories or make daily backup and then save backup file somewhere else.
also what about multiple users, every user or business has its own file/DB or its all in one.

The application data information is now shown under Preferences. Read the Guide: Manager Guides. Reading the Guides should always be your first step when you have questions. Search previous forum topics lis second.
Oh yeah, I forgot. That’s part of your server setup. One more thing you are responsible for. As I’ve told you previously, the server edition is really for those who already have the skills to perform the system administration.
as an administrator, it is you who decide where the application data folder for Manager is set.
in Windows, this is created by default under the user profile folder.
each business will have its own database file. so taking a backup of your application data folder will be enough. how you do it and where you do it is your choice.
there is also a guide that explains the different files in the application data folder. you can read it if you have any doubts.

do we need backup of both?
also one thing still unclear, where are files which are attached via manager software, are those are included in .Manager files somewhere else on separate directory.
i am not an ubuntu user. so i do not have the knowledge to help you further regarding this.
Manager installation files will be present wherever you had initially installed it. you do not need to backup the installation files. only the business files in application data folder would be enough.
