It is learnt that descriptions are stored in general ledgers and line descriptions where applicable.
There are multiple items in payslip such Basic, HR, Utilities and others etc. A line description option is also available and we have entered descriptions for such items where necessary and rest keep it as optional. It is noticed that line descriptions from payslips are not stored in general ledgers. We tried to review the same of sample GL as well custom reports.
It is requested to please assist in correct and clarifying our understanding and if Manager can also check such feature if not stored should be available like other tabs too.
This is not true. Line descriptions for payslip items are stored as Earnings.Description, Deductions.Description, and Contributions.Description. If there are multiple lines under one category on the same payslip, the multiple descriptions will be stored in the same cell.

I tried for all sub items of payslip, payslip contribution item and payslip deduction item.
I might be not adding the right parameter or Earnings.Description , Deductions.Description , and Contributions.Description can be available from different option. Please guide!
