Currently, we can view the lines table for almost all transactional tabs, save for a few.
Among these few tab are Payslips for which no lines screen exist.
It would be useful to have that and it would make the program more consistent.

I think that was not done due to different types of lines on each payslip like earnings, deduction, contribution section. Same goes for Production order you cannot view production order lines. But i think a column on Payslip line level should be added which can show type of line whether line belongs to Earning, deduction or contribution. Same for production orders if line is Finished item or BOM line.
There are also discrepancies on Sales inovice lines as it doesnt show rounding. So you can view lines of a Sales invoice but the totals of lines will not be exactly equal to total of a Sales invoice.
So yes Lines view needs more work.
Not sure what is wrong or inconsistent with below or why this appears as an idea. @shababb already explained that there are different categories on these payslips that each can have multiple lines.
OK, I understand these are different categories, but why – in your opinion – is retrieving them impossible?
These lines already exist in the General Ledger as well as in Transactions
view and so I don’t see any reason why they can’t be shown under Payslips tab
Maybe I misunderstand what you are asking for but separating Earnings, Deductions and Contributions as set-up in Settings tab for Payslip items make it much easier to understand what you are entering and thus avoid making mistakes. I do not think that to have to select for each line item a category would in this case be beneficial as some payslips may have many lines and it would be easy to make mistakes.
That’s not at all what I was asking for. But maybe my OP wasn’t worded properly, that’s my fault
The idea is to have a Payslip — Lines button at the bottom of the Payslips tab, that’s all.
In fact, I completely agree with your view on the current grouping of the form and I believe that selecting the category for each line would be a chore.
