So I’m still stuck with Manager unable to update because it is looking for an old Manager.msi file. the ones I have are not acceptable or is there a way to get a previous version install from the web?
You probably need to delete this in the registry
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Installer\Products\B08BF48080FF98A44BC8BB2ECFA00C9A
or this key
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\NGSoftware Pty Ltd\Manager
It is probably looking for the msi file where you previously downloaded manager to install. Deleting any registry keys relating to Manager NG Software and restarting will fix this problem.
Thanks Robert
Found the key under here:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Installer\Product
(mine had a different final key name)
I am in your debt!
Bob
You are welcome. It’s a known problem with msi installs.
