So far if the Sales Quote are copy to Sales invoice or Sales order are functioning as I expect it to be. But from Sales Quote to Sales Order did not carrying the Sales Quote Number. Then If I copy sales order to Sales Invoice it only copy the Sales Order.
Can the Copy to Features to be improve for it able to carry all the reference number if any until invoice?
or I misunderstood that it depends if we receive customer’s purchase order are different than our sales quotation and have to reference by both? our Sales quotation and Customer Purchase Order to be included in our Sales Order and Sales Invoice?
in my opinion i do not think this would be necessary. but it can be a personal choice.
after a sales quote is issued to the customer, the customer will give you their purchase order referenced to your quote which will be entered as a sales order in Manager. the work of sales quote ends here. from this step forth, the transaction will be referenced only by the sales order.
also, in most business the sales quote need to be issued only once for a product. it is just like a price list. the consecutive orders will automatically be given based on the sales quote issued initially unless a new quote is provided. so for every sales the sales quote need not be referred to.
ah… I see. unless the business mostly project to project basis. the sales quote would be frequently use.
