I am unable to import an excel file containing daily entries and even after using the copy and paste feature, the entries come out unformatted and incorrect.
You need to explain what you are actually doing.
Report copy from Manager and paste into a spreadsheet program is widely supported.
Transfer of data from a spreadsheet to Manager is more complicated but can be done via
- batch create / update
- Bank import
When pasting into spreadsheet you need to ensure that the “Text to Columns” Delimiters is set to “Tab”
hello
Thank you for your interest and response. The attachments explain why the date does not appear in the restrictions, and all restrictions do not appear.
The problem is that you have a mismatch between your spreadsheet date format and the date format set in Manager. Your spreadsheet format is DD/MM/YYYY and the format set in Manager is MM/DD/YYYY. You will need to change one of them depending on which format you want to use.
In Manager go to Settings → Date and Number Format
Thank you very much, the date problem has been solved. Please, can you provide us with a model for a debit/credit journal entry for the statement, and also when the entry is compound (of the two mentioned)?
Have you read this guide about Batch Operations?: https://www.manager.io/guides/batch-operations
Tip: Before you start to use Batch Operations it is a good idea to use settings to give all your accounts a code (Chart accounts, Customers, Suppliers, etc).
The best way to get a template (model) of columns required for a batch create spreadsheet file is to enter a transaction and then use Batch Update for that transaction and paste into spreadsheet. This will reveal columns you need use and this can then be the template for Batch Create (If using for Batch Create do not include the final column - named Key).
