How to send an Inoice as a PDF in a email

Hey I was trying to send an Invoice in a email and the customer received a link to http://127.0.0.1:55667

How are they suppose to see the Invoice? I want to send the invoice as a PDF file. the settings that are listed in the guides do not match my program.

These are the settings in my program.

email settings in the guides

Settings → Legacy Features → enable then you can send as a pdf instead of a link

I have enable that. Still nothing.

The email settings in the guides are out of date, the current settings are as you have shown in the first screenshot. Following @Patch advise your Legacy feature settings screen should look like:

The email function unlike in older versions will not show that a PDF is attached, so send an email of for example an Invoice to yourself and you will see that it will have attached a PDF with the Invoice. This indeed is confusing (had same issue) but at least it works. I am not sure why it can no longer show the attachment in the Manager email screen before sending.

You can search the forum why internal PDF generation has become a legacy feature with no further support. It remains there for people like me that have it work well for them alternatively one is advised to select print, save as PDF and send by normal email application.

Thank you, I confirmed this. I sent an email to myself and it sent an attached a PDF file.

Yes, I have seen those post. I think the developer has reason to eliminate the PDF generator from the program if I am just going to make a PDF and save it to my local machine. I can use the print to file option of my OS. However If I am going to have a program that can send emails directly, I do think it is a must and that the settings need to be better explained. For example, I use the desktop version, on a desktop version I should not have to choose how I want my invoices sent. Nobody but me has access to the link that was sent in the email. On a server version I can see how that can work.
